Northwest Art & Air Festival

Have you ever helped to launch a hot-air balloon? Been a part of the chase crew, following the balloon from the ground, racing along back country roads? If you are willing to get up extra early you too can experience something different by coming to the Art and Air Festival in Albany, Oregon. It’s even exciting to just come and watch almost forty balloons rise up and fly away at dawn. During the day in the park there are plenty of art booths and food booths to enjoy. And there is free entertainment, too. Kids can take free airplane rides at the airport. Don’t miss the Night-Glow on Friday night where balloons are lit up in the dark. This year there’s a laser light show with the balloon glow. And on Saturday night the Little River Band puts on a free concert on the lake. So come and enjoy all of this and more at the NW Art and Air Festival.

  1. Did it again!
    Thank you for having the balloonists as part of the Art & Air Festival. As balloonists we know how hard it is to coordinate launch sites, safety concerns, crew training and of course fuel. You did great! We enjoy our sponsors (Charlie & Mary of KGAL radio) and the city of Albany.
    The best part for me was that I got to fly in the balloon with my husband this year, something that is rare. So I got to see Albany from above. What a wonderful jewel in the Willamette Valley.
    Hugs to all of you and we want you to know your hard work is appreciated.

    After meeting the Mirays Crew Chief and her spouse, I was amazed, and it was a sight to behold.

    Thanks for the memories;

    Shannon
