Team INSPIRE, Albany Parks & Recreation and the Albany Downtown Association are partnering to bring the 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Monteith Park. On-site registration for children ages 0-12 will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the egg hunt beginning at 10:30 a.m. The fee is $5 per participant for the egg hunt.

For $10, you will also get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny and have lunch (hot dog, a side, and a drink). For more information about the event contact Ashley Custis or call 541-990-2194.

There will also be an old-fashioned egg roll for kids 3-12 beginning at 10:45 a.m. It’s amazing what fun you can have with a wooden egg, a paint stick, and duct tape! The top winner in each age group (3-5, 6-9, 10-12) will receive a ribbon and a prize. All participants will get a filled plastic egg. All money raised from the event goes to the American Cancer Society through Albany Relay For Life Team INSPIRE who is pairing up with the Albany Gems Dance Team to raise the funds.

  1. the adults who brought bags and filled up on Easter eggs meant for the children should be ashamed of themselves.
the children should be picking up their own eggs and be taught not to be greedy. Many people have become so greedy and we talk about our young people of today shame on you. where do you think children get their values. next year the state should have monitors in the park telling the adults the event is for children and there should be a limit on how many eggs a child should take. Not the greed I saw on the news shame on all of you parents who brought bags and picked up so many eggs .
