The 2017 – 2018 Albany Visitors Guide

The Albany Visitors Association 2017 “Albany Visitors Guide” is now available. Published each July, the colorful magazine is jam-packed with ideas for visitors or even those who want to discover what’s new in our city. The guide is free to both industry and the general public.

This year’s feature story focuses on the community spirit and vision that it took to create the Albany Historic Carousel & Museum. Other sections include Albany’s growing and vibrant cuisine scene, recreation (swimming, hiking, biking, fishing), entertainment, shopping, and the history and heritage of Albany and Linn County.

  1. I am excited to see that the carousel is getting ready to open. I want to come but I didn’t see how much entrance fee is. We are seniors but have children who will want to stop by on trips so if you could include all the costs please do.

Will the carousel be open year around?
    thanks Marsha

  2. Hi Marsha, We are happy as well! It’s been a long time coming. Admission to the building and viewing the Carousel is free. Ride tokens are $2 each. For more information, please contact the Albany Carousel & Museum at their new telephone number: 541-497-2934. And, Grand Opening Day, the Carousel is giving one free ride to those who attend (on August 15th only).
