37th Annual Tour of Historic Homes
Don't Miss the 37th Annual Tour of Historic Homes in historic downtown Albany. Ride in a vintage trolley or horse-drawn carriage and tour beautifully-restored historic homes, churches, and museums.

Visitors can tour the homes in any order they like. Homeowners and Hosts/Hostesses will be available to answer questions about restoration efforts, historic house maintenance and why they chose Albany as home.

Tickets available on the day of the tour beginning at 10 a.m. at the Albany Visitors Association, 110 3rd Ave SE. Adults $15.00, Seniors & Groups of 10 or more $12, Monteith House Museum Members $10.00 Children 12 & under, free with paid adult.

Historic downtown Albany's restaurants and shops will be open for this event and many will have quilts on display throughout the weekend.

Presented by the Albany Historic Interior Home Tour Committee and sponsored by the Monteith Historical Society which is charged with preserving and sharing Albany's Monteith House Museum.

Jet Sprint Boat Race
Come watch the thrilling sport of jet sprint boat racing at the new Global Jet Sprint Track in Lebanon, Oregon. High-speed sprint boats navigate a course of hairpin turns in this exciting race, held next to the Willamette Speedway on Airport Road. Gates open at 8 a.m., races start at 10 a.m. Camping is allowed ($20) and kids are welcome. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for youth 11-17, and kids 10 and younger are free. Enjoy live theater, comedy, dance, and more at this one-day performing arts festival in Monteith Riverpark. Now in its second year, Midsummer arts brings performing arts groups from all around the valley to downtown Albany. This year's festival includes the family-friendly comedy "Little Red Robin Hood" as well as other performers on the main stage, as well as performances scattered throughout Albany's historic downtown throughout the day. All events are free and family-friendly.

Oregon Jamboree
The Oregon Jamboree is one of the Northwest's biggest country music festivals, bringing top Nashville artists to the picturesque town of Sweet Home, Oregon. This year's headliners include Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, and Billy Currington.

The Jamboree offers a full festival atmosphere in the main venue and a more intimate concert experience on the second stage in Sankey Park. In addition to featured headline entertainment, this family-style event hosts RV and tent camping, food booths, beer & wine gardens, and a variety of other attractions.

Willamette River Relay and Paddle Me Plunge
Adventure-seekers can enjoy a trifecta of outdoor sports on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Willamette River Relay, a paddle-bike-run event that benefits the Calapooia Watershed Council. Do it with your friends as a relay, do the whole thing together as a team, or complete the entire event solo. After the race, participants and spectators alike can join in the Paddle Me Plunge, a fun float down the Willamette, winding up with an after-party at Calapooia Brewing Co. Bi-Mart Willamette Country Music Festival
The Bi-Mart Willamette Country Music Festival is a full-scale outdoor country music and camping event, located in the historic and quaint community of Brownsville. This year's top acts include Gary Allen, Eric Church, Sara Evans and Blake Shelton.

This year, the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce will provide concert-goers with a daytime shuttle with trips from the festival site to Historic Downtown Brownsville and back, with stops along the way. Rides are free; donations are accepted.

Watch colorful hot air balloons lift off from Timber-Linn Park with a spectacular Oregon sunrise as their backdrop at the annual ATI Northwest Art & Air Festival, August 22-24, 2014. Children's art activities, works from more than 70 artists on display, a car show, food, live entertainment, and airport events round out this unique celebration.
