Monteith Park Easter Egg Hunt & Egg RollApril 5, 2015
Monteith Park Easter Egg Hunt & Egg Roll
Don't miss the 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Monteith Park. On-site registration for children ages 0-12 will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the egg hunt beginning at 1 pm. The fee is $5 per participant for the egg hunt. For $10, you will also get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny and lunch (hot dog, a side, and a drink). Immediately following the Egg Hunt, there will be a free, old-fashioned Easter egg roll for kids age 3 to 12. The top winners in each age group (3-5, 6-9, and 9-12) will receive a ribbon and a prize. Moyer House Grand Re-OpeningApril 4, 2015
Moyer House Grand Re-Opening
Tour the newly-restored interior of Linn County's elegant house museum, the Moyer House. Located in the charming small town of Brownsville, the Moyer House is an Italianate villa dating from the 1880s.

The house has recently been closed for restoration work and will reopen to the public April 4, 2015. The house will be open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and admission will be free all day. A public ceremony from 1-2:30 will celebrate the volunteers who helped restore the house to its original grandeur. Refreshments will be available during the ceremony.

Oregon Scottish Heritage Festival 2015
Kids and families are invited to experience a day of Celtic-style fun at the 2015 Oregon Scottish Heritage Festival. Exhibits include stories of clans, accounts of immigration to America, and information on the achievements and contributions of Scottish people. Children can get dressed in Scottish costumes, learn some Gaelic words, do a treasure hunt, participate in highland games, and visit the Queen's Court. Authentic Scottish food will be served at Mary and Sandy's Kitchen, and entertainment includes nationally famous Celtic musicians. Families and individuals will have an opportunity to explore their Celtic genealogy and heritage.

Albany Farmers Market Opening Day
The Albany Farmers Market kicks off the 2015 season on April 18, 2015. Look for early spring veggies, plant starts, baked goods, cheese, farm-fresh eggs, local honey and more at the first market of the spring. Farmers markets run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. every Saturday through mid-November at the City Hall parking lot, Fourth & Ellsworth in downtown Albany.

Celebrate the world around us at Albany's annual Procession of the Species parade and celebration. Nature-lovers all ages are invited to dress up as their favorite animal and join the walking parade. Meet at the Linn County Courthouse steps at 9:30 a.m.; short parade through downtown Albany begins at 10 a.m. Following the parade, other nature activities will be available at the Albany Farmers Market.
