Beginning May 1, Scavenger Hunt Photo Tour available at Albany City Hall, Albany Downtown Association and Albany Visitors Association, or download from the City of Albany website www.cityofalbany.net (search "Preservation Activities 2012"). Return entries to the Community Development Department at Albany City Hall by 5:00pm May 21 to be entered to win a prize. The winners will be announced at Preservation Awards Presentation May 23rd.

An Albany summer tradition... We invite you to take your seat under the Oregon summer sky and join the thousands of people for an evening of diverse, quality entertainment. Start the summer with Ty Curtis on Wednesday, July 4th, then come back Thursday evenings thru August 9th, for The Lovin' Spoonful, Three Dog Night, War, Hot 8 Brass Band, Ricky Skaggs, and more.

Shows start at 7pm, but get there early to claim your spot, meet with friends, have a picnic or sample foods from our vendors. Walk to the park, take advantage of the bike lock-up area, take the shuttle from At Home Furniture, or park in downtown. Free Event with donations accepted.

34th Annual Historic Home Tour
Visit Albany on the last Saturday in July, for the Annual Historic Tour of Homes & Gardens, when several families open their homes to the public for tours. Each home has been lovingly restored, and reflects the best of both historic architecture and modern function. Trolley of TerrorUsually last couple of weekends in October, at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm & 9pm
Trolley of Terror
Climb aboard the Albany Trolley of Terror for a tour of the haunted places in Albany's Historic Districts. The trolley will be draped in somber black funeral buntings for the occasion. The stories told on this tour are all purported to be true, and some are decidedly weird. Don't miss this opportunity to get the inside story on these historic haunted homes and businesses. Why visit a haunted house when you can take in the whole haunted town?!

Tours start at Cidicci's Pizza. Seating is limited, so reserve your seat by calling 541-928-0911. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12. Special group rates available. A fund raiser for the Monteith Historical Society.

Veterans Day Parade and Events
With over 200 entries, and as many as 40,000 spectators, Albany hosts the largest Veterans Day parade west of the Mississippi. It is organized and run every year by the volunteer efforts of the Veterans Commemoration Association. The parade features veterans from wars past and present, marching units, military vehicles, and marching bands. Check back here for a list of events preceding the parade.
