36th Annual Tour of Historic Homes
Albany's 36th Annual Tour of Historic Homes is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2013 11am to 5pm. This year's tour features several historic homes, three churches, two museums, and the Historic Carousel & Museum. Albany First Evangelical Church will be open and serving refreshments. This is a self-guided tour and many of the homes and buildings are within walking distance of each other. Ticket price also includes trolley and/or horse-drawn wagon rides.

Visitors can tour the homes in any order they like. Homeowners and Hosts/Hostesses will be available to answer questions about restoration efforts, historic house maintenance and why they chose Albany as home.

Tickets available on the day of the tour beginning at 10am At the Albany Visitors Association, 110 3rd Ave SE. Adults $15.00, Seniors & Groups of 10 or more $12.00, Monteith House Museum Members $10.00 Children 12 & under, free with paid adult.

Historic downtown Albany's restaurants and shops will be open for this event and many will have quilts on display throughout the weekend.

Presented by the Albany Historic Interior Home Tour Committee and sponsored by the Monteith Historical Society which is charged with preserving and sharing Albany's Monteith House Museum. We look forward to having you and hope you will join us Saturday, July 27, 2013!

Northwest Art & Air Festival
August brings with it the Ati Wah Chang Northwest Art & Air Festival. Colorful hot-air balloons lift off from Timber Linn Park with a spectacular Oregon Sunrise as its backdrop. The Night Glow is a sight to be seen as several hot-air balloons light their burners and glow like lanterns. Children's activities, car show, food, live entertainment, and airport displays round out this event. The free Saturday Night Concert always draws big crowds as top entertainment comes to Albany. This year's act is Foreigner! Bring your RV to the event and you will camp across the street from where the hot-air balloons take off each morning.
