Albany Farmers Market opens
It's spring and the Albany Farmers' Market is coming to life! Grab your reusable shopping bags and head on down to 4th and Ellsworth in downtown Albany. River RhythmsJuly 6th - August 10th 2017
River Rhythms
Spread out a blanket and enjoy music under the stars at Monteith Riverpark. Groove to the music of major stars from across the US. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are children's activities prior to the concerts, an adult beer garden, food, a bike valet, and trolley rides around downtown. Thursday evenings, 5:30 - 9:00, at Monteith River Park. July through August.

Summer Sounds
Albany Parks and Recreation is proud to bring you Summer Sounds. Lay down your blanket, bring your lawn chair, and enjoy a relaxing summer music series featuring regional entertainment from across the Pacific Northwest. The concerts are free of charge but donations are greatly appreciated. Food will be available for purchase. Monday nights, 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. Monteith River Park. Beginning in July.

Outdoor movies in the park have become today's version of the drive-in movie experience of the past, only better. Albany Historic Interior Home Tours 2017
The 38th Tour of Historic Homes is scheduled for Saturday, July 29, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The tour will feature five privately owned historic homes. Along with the homes on tour, guests will visit the Whitespires Church, the Albany Regional Museum and the Monteith House Museum. A horse-drawn wagon and vintage trolley ride are included in the $15 ticket price. Light refreshments will be provided. This is a wonderful way for you to slow down, relax and enjoy yourself so please plan to join us.

Join us for Albany's Annual Festival Latino at Monteith River Park. Enjoy free children's activities, music, dance, and a health and resource fair. Delicious Latino food will be for sale from vendors. Participate and discover the cultural expression of the Latino community in Linn and Benton counties. The fun starts at noon and runs until 4:00 p.m.

Mother Earth News FairAugust 5 - 6, 2017
Mother Earth News Fair
The largest and longest-running publication about sustainable lifestyles, is bringing its Mother Earth News Fair back to the Linn County Expo Center, August 5 - 6, 2017. The Fair runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Fairgoers can attend more than 150 hands-on workshops that cover organic gardening, food preparation and preservation, natural health, renewable energy, homesteading, small-scale livestock, green building and remodeling and other homesteading-related related topics. Local and national experts will lead the sessions.

In addition, the Fair will host children's activities, vendor and livestock demonstrations, hundreds of exhibitors, and local food options. Attendees can pre-order a weekend wristband for $20 or single-day passes for $15. Wristbands purchased at the gate will cost $25. Children 17 and under get in free. A special ribbon cutting will precede opening day and those attending will receive one free ride!

Total Solar Eclipse
In case you haven't heard, a rare total solar eclipse (TSE) is scheduled to occur on Monday, August 21, 2017. Oregon is considered to be one of the premier viewing states as the TSE makes its path across the nation, and communities across the Willamette Valley are gearing up for amazing parties. Albany invites you to join us for the "Party in the Path." The best viewing parties in Albany will be at the Airport and at Linn Benton Community College, however many surrounding communities have viewing celebrations planned.
