Trolley of Terror
Why visit a haunted house when you can visit the whole haunted town? Ride a spooky trolley through historic Albany and hear ghostly tales about the locations on tour.

Oct. 24 and 25 only; seating is limited. Tours begin at the Historic Monteith House Museum, 518 2nd Ave. SW
Cost: Adults, $10; Children under 12, $5. Group rates available. Reservations recommended. Call 541-928-0911. Tours are at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. nightly.

Proceeds benefit the Monteith Historical Society.

Come taste more than 50 types of craft brews at the 6th Annual Mid-Valley Brewfest. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at the Linn County Fair & Expo Center. Tickets $10 each ($5 for designated drivers); includes your first beer and a commemorative mug. Tastes $1. Attendees must be 21 and over. The annual event benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Albany.

Veterans Day Parade and EventsNovember 11, 2014
Veterans Day Parade and Events
With over 200 entries, and as many as 40,000 spectators, Albany hosts the largest Veterans Day parade west of the Mississippi, beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11th, 2014. The parade features veterans from wars past and present, marching units, military vehicles, and marching bands. In addition to the parade, visitors can observe Veterans Day at a Memorial Service at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 11th, at the Veterans Memorial at Albany's Timber-Linn Park. Veterans of the Year will be honored at a banquet at American Legion Post 10 in Albany, beginning at 7 p.m., Monday Nov. 10th (Tickets are required).
