Aye Mates!! Downtown Albany is being invaded by pirates.
The 2008 Bi-Mart Willamette River Festival a KCBS
sanctioned BBQ competition will include pirate encampments,
live shows and wench stealing. Not to fear, the kings royal
marines will be on patrol to protect spectators
from crazy scallywags.

Friday August 1st
10 am to 5 pm — Sales at downtown antique and specialty stores.
5 pm---Bi Mart Willamette River Festival opens
5pm---BBQ Sample vending starts
4 pm to 11 pm---Budweiser Beer Garden Open
3 pm to 9 pm---Courtesy Van Runs
Dusk—Movies by Moonlight “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (Mainstage)
11 pm---Festival Closes

KCBS BBQ Competition

The KCBS BBQ competition is the
world's largest organization of
barbecue and grilling enthusiasts
with over 8,000 members worldwide.
We need to have at least 25 BBQ
teams to be an official KCBS
competition, the winner will
then go to the National Cook-Off
in Kansas City. So put on your
best apron, find the family's
secret recipe stash, and let
the mouths begin to water.

( *entry fee reduced to $195 a team)
to the Albany Visitors Association

Oregon's Outdoor Chef Competition

The Oregon Outdoor Chef Competition, each team will receive a bag of ingredients that will need to be used at least once in their recipes. There will be three dishes, a salmon dish, a side dish, and a dessert. The dishes then will be judged and awarded. Grand Prize: $250 and Trophy Reserve: $175 and Trophy For each category: 1st Place: $100 and Trophy 2nd Place: $75 and Ribbon 3rd Place: $50 and Ribbon

Kids Q Competition

The Kids can even get into the BBQ, with two age groups 10 and under and 11-15 years old. Contestants will be given a BBQ on a first come, first receive basis. All details are in the Kids Q Competition Entry Form which needs to be turned in by the start of the event.

Treasure Hunt

There will be a treasure hunt starting at 10am on Saturday. You must be 13 or older to participate and also you will need a treasure map ARGH! Maps will be able to be picked up at either Ray's Food Place or the event on Saturday. You will need to follow the map using the clues to send you to 20 different locations in downtown Albany. It be told that ye would need all 20 clues to find ye buried treasure. The treasure is $100 shiloh script to be used at any Shiloh Inn, $100 bill for gas to get to your destination of choosing, and finally $50 gift card to Ray's Food Place so you can take food on your trip.
