Willamette Valley

Albany is located at the center of Oregon’s lushly beautiful Willamette Valley, a 132-mile long stretch of land that runs from Portland in the north to Lane County in the south, with mountains to the east and west.

A hundred and fifty years ago, the Willamette Valley was the promised land that beckoned to pioneers, who left everything they had to reach this fertile piece of the American West. Today, the Willamette Valley still beckons: with rolling vineyards that produce the best Pinot Noir in the world; with farms and orchards carefully tended by passionate family farmers; and with trails, mountains and rivers that are open to the public and waiting to be explored.

The Willamette Valley is rich in heritage and full of friendly small cities, award-winning restaurants, and a vibrant art and music scene.
