The following locations are official stops on the 2016 Journey to the Center of Albany summer passport program:

Albany Regional Museum

Located in historic downtown, the museum welcomes everyone to explore local history. Tuesday-Friday 11am-4pm, Saturday 12-5pm

Albany Antique Mall
145 2nd Ave SW, Albany, OR
Antiques, collectibles, and vintage clothing boutique.
Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 12pm-5pm

Albany Downtown Association
126 Ferry St. SW, Albany, OR
Where you can find more information and coupons for shopping and restaurants. It’s all happening in Historic Downtown Albany!

Albany Fire Station #14
2850 Gibson Hill Rd NW, Albany, OR
Come out and learn about fire safety, and the loan a life jacket program for family water fun.

Albany Regional Museum

Albany Saturday Farmer’s Market

Items include baked goods, fruit, vegetables, and flowers.  Enjoy the beautiful outdoors and take home a piece of Oregon agriculture.

Albany Train Station-Amtrak

All Aboard! Walk on in to the train depot and visit with the station manager to learn about all of the workings of a locomotive!

A Step Above Hobbies (ASAH)

Stop in and explore everything from RC cars, planes and helicopters, to plastic model kids and supplies, to model rockets and trains, and even Pinewood Cars!

Albany Airport – Infinite Air Center
525 Aviation Way, Albany, OR
In 1998, the Albany Municipal Airport became to first airport in Oregon to be named the National Register of Historic Places. Infinite Air Center, the FBO, offers demo flights, scenic flights and flight instruction.

Albany Community Pool

Enjoy the cool water of Albany Community Pool on those hot summer days.

COOL Swanson Pool
Swanson Pool: 750 Railroad St SE, Albany, OR
The pool includes a playground-style structure in a “zero-depth” play area. The main feature is the big twisty slide. A lifeguard is on watch at the catch basin of the pool so children of all ages can safely enjoy the slide.

Gallery Calapooia

The Gallery Calapooia is our newest passport partner and hot spot. Their special sticker will go on the Café Sirene spot so now you can get your whole page filled up. It features several local artists in a variety of mediums bringing imagination, color and texture to our lives. It might just be a spark of inspiration for the budding artist in you!

Heritage Mall

Historic Carousel and Museum
250 Broadalbin St. SW, Two Rivers Market, Albany, OR
The carousel will feature 52 animals and two chariots. All animals are hand-carved and hand-painted,by dedicated volunteers. Tours available. Admission is free.

Mid-Willamette Family YMCA

Monteith House Museum

The oldest building in town! It was built by Thomas & Walter Monteith in 1849. It is said to be the most authentically restored pioneer era home in Oregon. Admission is free.

Talking Water Gardens
500 Waverly Dr NE, Albany OR
A constructed wetland built by the cities of Albany and Millersburg and ATI. It has become a destination for walking, wildlife watching, and environmental education.
Open sunrise to sunset all year long.

Thompson’s Mill State Heritage Site
32655 Boston Mill Dr, Shedd OR
Thompson’s Mill chronicles the past 10 years of Oregon rural life. It is the oldest water-powered grain mill in the state: its system of water ways, dams, control gates, ditches, and dikes has moved water from the Calapooia River to the mill head gates since 1858.

Waverly Paddle Boats
Pacific Blvd and Albany Ave, Albany OR
Paddle boats are available to rent for $5 per half hour. It’s fun for the whole family out on the water in the summer sun.
Open Thursday and Fridays from 12pm-6pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-4:30pm
