Welcome to AVA’s monthly calendar of events. Take a peek and plan your stay-cation or your next visit to our region. The city’s most notable annual events include historic home tours, outdoor summer concerts and movies under the stars, and the Northwest Art and Air Festival.

This year, the annual Brownsville Art Association Art Market coincides with the Brownsville Women’s Study Club’s Festival of Trees featuring over thirty artists’ booths filled with ornaments, cards, clothing, jewelry, pottery, and more and twenty-five theme-decorated Christmas trees. This is a fundraising event for the Brownsville Volunteer Fire Department and Sharing Hands Christmas Greeters program.
Join Santa at the Carousel every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. until Christmas and during First Friday on December 2nd from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Littles can visit and tell him what they want for Christmas while their adult snags a photo of a precious Christmas memory- all for FREE! While you are here, make sure and grab a hot chocolate at the Carousel Café and take a ride (or two) on the carousel.
Celebrate the holiday season and join ACT for a fun afternoon of activities for the whole family! Enjoy snacks, hot cocoa, cider and some photo opportunities with Pirate Santa, the Grinch, and a Christmas Elf! There will also be storytelling, a sing-along, a Muppet Christmas movie and coloring pages for kids. This event is free, but donations are gladly accepted.

Legacy Ballet’s annual production is a full-length Nutcracker in a new theater venue, The Albany Performing Arts Center. Join Legacy this holiday season and celebrate the return of an annual tradition for so many in our community! There are four performances on December 2, 7-9 p.m., December 3, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and December 4, 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $15 each, reserved seating. Available at: https://legacyballet.ludus.com/22033
