Travel with the Albany Public Library as we trace the history of Black American music from its West African roots, and into the present day. Beyond its entertainment value, discover the historical and contemporary contributions of music to the struggle for Black liberation and healing. Black music trivia, a prize drawing, and, of course, the thriving art of Black musical excellence are all part of this interactive presentation hosted by special guests, Leah Savant (TheActivistArtist) & DJ Michael Kirkwood. In partnership with Kids for the Culture.
