Registration is now open for Soroptimist Walk
Registration for the 2023 Soroptimist Walk for the Cause is open at sialbany.org/walk. Online pre-registration is $40 for adults, and includes a Walk shirt. Pre-registration ends on September 7th.
The 2023 Walk, featuring Presenting Sponsor Samaritan Health Services, will feature a new course in Albany. Details of the new route will be posted closer to the Walk.
The 5K will set off with a 9am program at the steps of the Linn County Courthouse, Saturday, October 7th. For those who prefer to watch the 5K from the sidelines, supporters may also choose to register and then “Sleep In”.
Over the last 27 years of the Walk, Soroptimist International of Albany has raised more than $930,000 for the detection and treatment of breast cancer and to provide support services for other diseases affecting women.
The 28th Walk Celebration will include Race Grand Marshals “The Faces of Cancer” and a Finish Line Raffle.
On-site registration will begin at 8am on October 7th, but does not guarantee a Walk shirt.
Vendor booths will fill the streets in front of City Hall before, during and after the Walk. Vendor applications are available by emailing siofalbany@gmail.com.
