This year’s reverse Parade will include veterans and floats hosted by sponsors at sites around the city. Participants will use a map — either a hard copy or online version — to find the various locations. To add to the fun, special objects will be placed at some of the stops. Find them all and be entered in a raffle for prizes! Participants can also vote for their favorite float, either online or in person. For more information visit Albany Veterans Day 2021. I’m disappointed not to find a map of the parade on this site. It appears I’d have to put an app on my phone to see it. Too much trouble to just see where things are.
Hi,
Thanks for your interest in the parade! The parade is being handled by a committee of first-time volunteers this year, and all of us are working very hard. We hope to have a downloadable map on this website ASAP and there will be a printed version available soon as well. Thank you for your patience and thank you for helping us to honor veterans.
Albany Visitors Association.
This is a shame. We were planning to come down from Salem to see the parade, as it is always so good, but we won’t be coming down this year. It sounds more like a scavenger hunt. 🙁
It’s great to hear you usually come for the parade! I think the reverse parade this year will have a lot to offer with some 30 floats and displays, and distinguished veterans at several locations around town.
A lot of people have worked really hard to make this happen to honor our veterans and create a caring community event.
Thank you,
Albany Visitors Association
Little confusing about time is it 9 am or 12:30 pm? and when is the Memorial Service and motercycles and where?
You might be looking at the information for a past year. Here is the link for 2021 with all the events listed.
Thank you.

Are the maps available for tomorrow?
If you need help… we have a marketing department and we can help 🙂 marketing@lauragillott.com
Hi Laura and thank you for your kind offer. A hard-working volunteer committee came together this year to make sure the parade continued to honor veterans and are already making plans to bring the full-scale traditional parade back November 11, 2022. It will take many volunteers and coordination efforts will begin immediately following this year’s parade. If you are interested in getting involved to help coordinate, sponsor or create a float/parade entry for next year, please contact McCall Washburn at landfitness@ymcaalbany.org.
with gratitude Rebecca
The parade map is on the Albany Visitors Association mobile app, Albany Explorer. It is also on the AVA website site and may be downloaded (https://albanyvisitors.com/history/linn-county-veterans-memorial/). Printed copies are available at the AVA office, 110 3rd Ave. SE.
Thank you.
I found the bears but there was noone left at the YMCA to tell!😊 it was fun looking for them though! Thank you to all the volunteers who made this year’s event happen
Congrats on being a great finder and having fun! You have until Nov 18 to return the form to the YMCA.
Thanks,
