Approximately 45 miles of the 195 mile Willamette Valley Bicycle Loop runs through the Albany area. This is a great way to see some beautiful scenery and ferry across the Willamette River. Winter Sports
Albany is just a few hours west of world-class ski slopes and resorts. Whether you head southeast to Mt. Ashland, east to Mt. Bachelor, northeast to Mt. Hood, or just east of Albany to Hoodoo Ski Bowl at the Santiam summit, you will find a ski area to meet your needs. Mt. Hood also offers year round skiing as well as an alpine slide and recreation area in the summer.
