Spring over to Albany

Join us in Albany during March when the daffodils bloom, the sun is peeking through the clouds and Spring Break is just around the corner.

Albany Civic Theater presents “Eclipsed,” an award-winning play set in Ireland in the 1960s. The play tells the story of unwed Irish mothers forced to work in laundries by the Irish Catholic Church. Performances March 1-3 and 7-9, 2024. Visit AlbanyCivic.com for tickets and showtimes.  

March Madness at Iron Water Ranch includes bottle feeding, hugging and snuggling lambs. Tickets are $20, and each ticket buys a 1-hour time slot between 11 am-4 pm March 2 and 3. Purchase tickets at IronWater.com. Visit their Instagram or Facebook to vote in the cutest lamb competition.

March Badness with Sick Town Roller Derby is at 5 pm March 2 at Linn County Expo Center. Purchase tickets for $12 at SickTownRollerDerby.com or $15 at the door. 

Northwest Fly Tyer and Fly Fishing Expo will feature 80 world-class fly tyers, fly casting instruction, workshops, demos, competitions and 47 vendors. New for 2024, they will have a Fly Fishing Simulator! Doors open at 8:30 am March 8-9 at the Linn County Expo Center. Tickets and information at NWExpo.com

Winter Wildlife Field Days is a bilingual and accessible nature adventure for kids with hands-on and take-home activities. Free events will occur March 1 -31 in nature spots throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley. There will be a Field Station from 2:30-5 pm in Albany March 20 at Sunrise Park (2275 Thurston St). Linn County Flea Market is the county’s largest event of its kind, open March 16 at Linn County Expo Center. Over 85 vendors sell vintage and one-of-a-kind items, antiques and collectibles. Find information on their Facebook page or at LinnCountyFleaMarket.com

Northwest Horse Fair and Expo is held March 22-24 at the Linn County Expo Center. The fair combines first-rate education, entertainment, and shopping. For tickets and information, visit EquinePromotions.net or 765-720-2098.

Adult Skate is held from 7-9 pm the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at Northwest Skateland. Visit NWSkateland.com for times of Sensory Skate, Christian Skate, Family Skate and more. 3209 Pacific Blvd SW, 541-286-8674. 

Mid-Willamette YMCA Day Passes allow you to check out everything the Y offers for yourself or the whole family. A family pass is $25 and includes two adults and the kids in the family; youth 18 and under are $5; adults 18-24 are $10; adults 24-59 are $15; and adults 60+ are $10. Board Game Night at Deluxe Brewing happens every Tuesday night. The event is open to all ages and game-playing abilities. Deluxe is always pet-friendly, and they have a food cart.
