First Willamette Valley Powwow

The first Willamette Valley Powwow will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 10 am to 10 pm at the Boulder Falls Center in Lebanon, Oregon. 

Hosted by the Lebanon Native American Education Program through the Lebanon Community School District, this free event is open to everyone and will feature craft and food vendors on-site.

Grand Entries, a central part of the Powwow, are scheduled for 12 pm and 6 pm. The First Grand Entry at 12 pm (includes recognition of graduating students)
Second Grand Entry at 6 pm.  Attendees can enjoy traditional and contest dancing, along with special performances, including a presentation by Aztec Dancers. The event will be led by MC Bob Tom, with Arena Director Deitz Peters, Head Dancers Nicole and Levi Liebelt, Host Drum Bad Soul, and Honor Drum Turquoise Pride. The Native American Cultural Association of Oregon will serve as the Flag Staff.

Powwows are vibrant cultural gatherings that bring together different tribes and communities to celebrate traditions through dance, music, and social connection. Attendees can expect an immersive experience filled with Native American heritage and artistry. The event is drug, alcohol, and weapon-free.
