Golfing

If your idea of a perfect day involves being out on the green, keep reading. There are many places to get in some golfing while you’re vising the Albany area.

In Albany

Albany is home to two golf courses within the city limits: the Golf Club of Oregon and the Albany Golf and Events Center. Both are 18-hole golf courses that are open to the public year-round.

If you are looking to work on your game indoors, spend some time at Precision Golf Studio, 117 1st Ave. SE in downtown Albany. Precision Golf Studio is an indoor golf range offering a simulated golf experience for swing analysis, virtual rounds on hundreds of true-to-life courses, and entertaining games for any level.

Around the Valley

About 20 miles east of Albany in the hills outside Lebanon, you can golf scenic 18-hole Mallard Creek Golf Course or the 9-hole Pineway Golf Course.

Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis is the home of the Oregon State University Beavers golf teams and is open to the public.

Make it a day

For a truly memorable golf experience, visit the Bandon Dunes resort in Bandon on the southern Oregon Coast, with a terrain reminiscent of the rugged Scottish coast, this beach-side resort has earned a reputation as one of the nation’s premier golf destinations — and the drive down the coast makes it a beautiful day trip from Albany.

Other Golf

For a fun all-ages golf outing, take your family to the mini-golf course at Lake Shore Lanes in Albany.

Disc Golf

Disc golfers can test their skills with three courses in Albany. Bryant Park and Takena Landing flank both sides of the Willamette River, with Bryant offering 18 baskets near downtown and Takena Landing nine baskets in North Albany. On the east side of town, easily accessible from Interstate 5, Timber-Linn Memorial Park has nine baskets in a flat, grassy setting. For a map of park locations, click Albany Parks & Recreation.
