Antiques in the Streets

Each September, the Saturday after Labor Day is the traditional date to browse through Historic Downtown Albany with antiques literally filling the streets. For more information regarding this event, contact the Albany Antique Mall, 541-704-0109.

Summer Historic Homes Tour

Held the last Saturday in July, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. The summer tour emphasizes architecture and will feature several historic homes in various states of restoration. Homeowners and hosts/hostesses will be available to answer questions about restoration efforts, historic house maintenance and why they chose Albany as home. Christmas Tour

Second Sunday in December, 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. Take a self-guided tour past several historic homes and experience the sights and sounds of the Victorian holiday. For updated information or Covid restrictions, call 541-928-0911 or 800-526-2256.

History Through Headstones Tour

If you’ve always been fascinated by the elaborate headstones and cemetery artwork of bygone eras, come to Albany in mid-July for the “History Through Headstones” Tour. This guided walking tour takes visitors through Albany’s pioneer cemeteries, where you can learn the stories behind the monuments. Held annually in July; sponsored by the Albany Regional Museum; 541-967-7122 for details.

Night-Time Magic

Once Again, the Albany Visitors Association is helping to make the holiday season bright by sponsoring the Annual Night Time Magic Holiday Light Program. Residents are encouraged to enter a contest for best use of lights in decorating the exterior of their homes. People wishing to drive the route to look at the participating locations can pick up a list of participants and a map at the Albany Visitors Association beginning mid-December.
