South Albany High School Car Show and Ford Drive 4 UR School
Apr 7 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

This car show is aFundraiser for the Class of 2018 Drug & Alcohol Free Graduation Party. Thecar show is April 7th from 10am-3pm. Judging is at noon and trophies are givenin over 20 classes. $15 per car entry fee. There will be raffle drawings,goodie bags and refreshments. Contact Doug at 541-990-7338 for details. Alongwith the car show, Ford will be hosting Drive 4 UR School in the South AlbanyHigh School parking lot from 9am-1pm to help us raise more funds. They willdonate $20 for every test drive up to $6000. So we need 300 people to stop byand test drive a car!

Albertina Kerr Zumba Event! @ Mid-Willamette Family YMCA

We’ve Got A Hood Thing Going Hood to Coast relay team ishosting a two hour, get your blood pumping Zumba event! All proceeds go tosupport the Albertina Kerr Foundation, which has provided support andenrichment to children and adults with developmental disabilities and mentalhealth challenges since 1907.

Not only will you be able to rock out for two hours witha host of energetic local Zumba instructors, there will also be various silentauction and raffle items available for your bidding, including but not limitedto a scrumptious wine basket!

Linn Benton Community College “Roadtrip Nation”

RoadtripNation, an educational traveling program, is coming to Linn-Benton CommunityCollege Thursday, April 26 starting at 3 p.m. in the Russell Trip theater,Takena Hall.

RoadtripNation empowers individuals to explore who they are and what they want to dowith their lives through a public television series, online resources andeducational curriculum designed to help them discover pathways that are alignedwith their interests.

Open toall LBCC students, high school students and their parents, the event includesactivities designed to give students self-assurance and skills to reach out topeople in the community and beyond who are doing jobs that align with theirinterests and foundational self

RoadtripNation goes from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and wraps-up with an interview of a localleader to help participants learn the art of the informational interview, seehow to apply career exploration tactics locally and learn how to ask questionsof a community leader.

LBCC to hold Tailgate, Special Field Dedication

Aspecial pre-game celebration and dedication of the new infield turf will beheld this Saturday, April 28 at Linn-Benton Community College’s baseball field.

Apre-game tailgate starts at noon, hosted by Steve Carothers, 1993 NWAC Hall ofFame and former player on LBCC’s first baseball team in 1971.

Aspecial ceremony dedicating LBCC’s new infield turf will take place at 12:40p.m., and will feature a surprise special guest.

LBCCRoadrunners will take on Southwestern Oregon Community College for a double-headerstarting at 1 p.m., with Coach Ryan Gipson and the Roadrunners currently infirst place in the NWAC South, with a 9-1 mark and a 26-2 overall.

LBCC Health and Safety Fair

A Health andSafety Fair will be held at Linn-Benton Community College Wednesday, May 2 from11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the college courtyard.

Informationtables include local safety, health and wellness companies and organizations,bike clubs, emergency planning organizations, ham radio demonstration, K-9demonstration, college health and safety programs, and college clubs.

A courtyard lunchwill be available for $5, $4 for students.

Portland Timbers U23 vs. Starphire FC
