Join the Linn County Historical Society for a presentation about two interesting places along the historic Santiam Trail. The seasonal Fish Lake and adjoining meadow have offered a place of rest and bountiful provisions for weary travelers for hundreds of years. Today visitors can explore the legacy of this historic place. The Sand Mountain area was also part of the Trail. Due to the sandy soils and areas laden with lava rock, this section of the historic Santiam Wagon Road was one of the most challenging parts of the journey for early travelers. this presentation is free and open to the public.
