Welcome to AVA’s monthly calendar of events. Take a peek and plan your stay-cation or your next visit to our region. The city’s most notable annual events include historic home tours, outdoor summer concerts and movies under the stars, and the Northwest Art and Air Festival.

It’s time for another Albany Boys & Girls Club virtual basketball shooting competition. For this competition, you will need a group of 2 family members as participants (father-son, mother-daughter, brother-sister, etc.). Here are the rules.
1. Shooters must alternate shots and cannot shoot from the same spot two times in a row.
2. 1 point for inside the free throw line, 2 points for free throws (15 feet from back of rim), 3 points for behind the 3 point line (19 feet from back of rim).
3. Record 60 seconds of shooting, then come to the camera and state your names and final score. Please include names and final score in the email/message you send in as well.
Results from the first round must be submitted to ryan@bgc-albany.org by 7-12-2020.
Don’t miss Crazy Daze, Downtown Albany’s oldest event! Originally called Bargain Days in 1898, the name was changed to Crazy Daze after WWII. Merchants will be setting out their merchandise on the sidewalks throughout Downtown, offering them at crazy reduced prices! Merchandise changes daily so you might want to come down all 3 days. So, grab your sunscreen or a hat and stroll our sidewalks for crazy deals and crazy delicious food at our fabulous Downtown eateries!

Join the Albany B&GC for the 5th Annual Ron Loney Open, brought to you by Frank and Linda Morse. This year we will be at Trysting Tree Golf Club. The event is a four-person scramble with schedule tee times. There will be a lunch provided by our gracious sponsors Dennis and Charlene Smallwood. We will announce awards virtually after the tournament has concluded to help maintain social distancing during the event. This is a wonderful opportunity to see inside over 120 vintage trailers from 1938 to 1980 including teardrops, popups, tents and motor homes. This is a free family event in lovely Pioneer Park on the Calapooia River. For information please visit the event Facebook page: Rally on the River
