Join the Albany Carousel for a sensory-friendly ride!
To provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory sensitivities and their families, we will slow the carousel down to a jog and turn off the organ music.
It’s our hope to provide a fun and inviting space for everyone. So put on your blue and join us!
Join this opportunity to bid on poinsettias, wreaths, tabletop trees, and live auction trees. View the silent items in person and bid online. Tickets are only sold in advance, there are no ticket sales at the event. Tickets are $50 per person. To purchase tickets email events@bgc-albany.org. Holiday or business attire. Buffet dinner. Cash/card bar. This is a 21 and over event. MASKS ARE REQUIRED INSIDE THE FACILITY.
Join winemaker David Anderson of Aurora Colony Vineyards for a tasting at the farm. David will assist you and answer questions about his process of creating award-winning wines. Cookies and tea will also be served. Sip wine, walk around the garden and check out the holiday gifts available at the farm stand.
This event includes lots of fun for the whole family. Kid crafts are free to make and available on a first-come-first-served basis. Individual vendors will be selling their wares and food will be available to purchase. There will be live music and carriage rides from 2-6 pm for $5. Santa, Mrs. Claus, and helper elves will depart by sleigh from American Legion Post 10 (1215 Pacific Blvd SE, Albany, OR 97321) at 11:15 escorted by Legion Riders, and the Albany Police and Albany Fire Departments. They will travel down First and Second Avenues handing out goodies and then arrive at the Heritage Mall about 12:00 for a drive-through gift giveaway. The Post is accepting donations of unwrapped, new toys for ages 0-12, daily 10 am to 2 pm Monday – Saturday at the American Legion Post 10.
