Welcome to AVA’s monthly calendar of events. Take a peek and plan your stay-cation or your next visit to our region. The city’s most notable annual events include historic home tours, outdoor summer concerts and movies under the stars, and the Northwest Art and Air Festival.

Saturdays and Sundays in October – Paid Train Ticket gains you access to the park where you can ride the ¼ scale train, purchase pumpkins from the Pumpkin Patch, take pictures at several photo ops, and enjoy various games and things to see throughout the park. Admission: Adults $7.50 (ages 13 and up), Child $6.50 (ages 2-12), 1 and Under: Free. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. For information visit:Tennessee Thunder Railroad
The live auction with Paul Schultz, auctioneer, 10 am to 1 pm., will include quilts, experiences, handcrafted items, and more! Shops include Just Cause (fair trade items), Menno Marketplace (handcrafted items, plants, a few vintage items, Sew Much (fabric remnants and sewing-related items), Used Book Sale, fresh apple cider, specialty cheese and sausages, pies, and other baked goods.
