Sponsored by Albany Landmarks Commission and presented by Vintage Window Restoration, this one day workshop is oriented to homeowners who wish to repair their windows on their own but need the initial nudge to become inspired. Snacks and coffee will be served in the morning, then the class will head out to an actual project where they learn about numerous parts of a window, work space set-up, a bit of history, and work their way to gently removing the bottom sash of a window. Attendees will become more informed about how to preserve Albany’s historic stock. This event is part of Albany’s celebration of Historic Preservation Month.
The workshop is free, but space is limited and reservations required. Contact Alyssa Schrems at alyssa.schrems@cityofalbany.net or (541) 791-0176.
