Corvallis Community Children’s Centers, a nonprofit that has cared for thousands of children in the community, will celebrate its 55th anniversary with a block party event from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 3 at its location at 3285 NE Oxford Circle in Corvallis.
The childcare center invites the community to reminisce, look through old photos and newspaper clippings and talk with children, parents and staff who have been involved throughout the years. The center’s newly-remodeled campus will be available for tours, in addition to a fire truck and police vehicle on the scene for children to explore. A variety of community groups and booths will be on-site, in addition to a clothing giveaway and BBQ offerings for guests. More event information is available at https://www.facebook.com/
“We’re excited to celebrate 55 years of service to the community with an event designed to celebrate our children, parents and staff,” said Brenda Daigle, Executive Director of Corvallis Community Children’s Centers. “We’ll have local firefighters and police officers on-site along with their vehicles for children to explore, in addition to community organizations like the Boys & Girls Club and The Little Gym here – fun for the whole family!”

Whether it is watching the Saturday night fireworks display, enjoying a complimentary piece of the World’s Largest Strawberry Shortcake, taking in a parade, or just sitting back and relaxing on the lawn to watch some entertainment on the main stage, the Strawberry Festival offers something for everyone and every budget.
Tickets are $8.00 (ages 13+) daily presale, $10.00 daily at the gate, Kids 0-12 are free. $25.00 Season Pass is available for presale only and allows re-entry for the entire 4 days of the festival. Thursday ONLY, veterans, active military, first responders, and lineman get FREE ADMISSION, just come to the festival gates with your official ID. Buy presale tickets online here.

The Lebanon Strawberry Festival is a community wide celebration held each year during the first full weekend in June. The festival started in 1909 as a celebration of the bountiful berry harvests; the strawberry festival continues today as a chance to bring our community together, and to celebrate with pride all of Lebanon’s beauty and friendliness.

Stoked 2 Sk8 will be closing off Broadalbin Street SW between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue. There will be some ramps and obstacles to skate and a mini ramp in the shop that will open to skate as well. There will be live music and friendly competitions for prizes.

Monday, June 5th
Wine tasting: 2:00pm- 8:30pm
Dance class: 6:00pm -7:15pm
Join Midway Farms for a special Sip & Shimmy event in the glorious open garden spread! They will begin at 6pm with a belly dance class led by a member of the local Tribal Rising Dance troupe. No experience is required for this class. All levels, shapes, sizes, and abilities are welcome! Dance and Shimmy, and connect with your inner goddess! Bring a yoga mat to sit on for the opening and closing stretching.
After class, shop at the wonderful organic, gluten-free farm store, and Sip on a glass of wine! Award-winning winemaker, David, of Aurora Colony Vineyards, will be on hand to help you choose the perfect glass or bottle. In addition to wine, there will be snacks, gf pastries, tamales, and other beverages will be available for purchase. Enjoy yourself at the table seating, or bring a picnic blanket! Suggested class donation of $5. They look forward to seeing you!
