The largest Veterans Day Parade west of the Mississippi is Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, in Downtown Albany. The annual parade begins its march through the streets Downtown beginning at 11 a.m.

You’ll want to line up early along the parade route. The parade starts on Pacific Boulevard and comes down the overpass to Downtown Albany on Lyon Street, then turns left onto Second Avenue, journeys to Ferry Street, where it turns left again and heads to the Linn County Courthouse.

What makes this parade unique here in the Northwest and around the country? The sheer magnitude of veterans in the parade, the number of individual entries, the number of people, cars, floats, bands and military vehicles are the heart and soul of the parade.

OSU Football Dam Hunger Food Drive @ Reser Stadium | Corvallis | Oregon | United States

At the November 11th OSU Football game against Stanford, fans will be encouraged to bring canned goods/donations to select tailgate areas to be donated to the community and receive a premium co-branded giveaway as a thank you from the sponsors. Fans can donate directly to the Beavers Fight Hunger fund supporting the OSU BNC here.

The three organizations will come together in support of the Linn Benton Food Share and the OSU Basic Needs Center (BNC), with Safeway and TCCA providing donations to be delivered alongside student-athletes and members of the OSU Athletics Department. Linn Benton Food Share provides millions of pounds of food every year through various programs to those who need it most in the Corvallis community.

“The OSU Basic Needs Center food pantry is the most popular of all our programs,” said Sery Oeur, BNC Student Leader, Radiation Health Physics major, Class of 2026. “We are constantly buying enough produce and goods to support our community’s needs. Donations like this are very helpful to us.”
