Albany Toy Run – “Christmas in July” @ Deluxe Brewing

Deluxe Brewing and Sinister Distilling are thrilled to host the annual Albany Toy Run Christmas in July event on Friday, July 12th, 2024. The event is free for attendees and will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. at the brewery. All motorcycle riders, classic car drivers and passengers are encouraged to participate in this fun event. Free parking is available on-site at the brewery with overflow parking available next door at the Albany Wheelhouse (421 NE Water Ave, Albany, OR 97321).

The Albany Toy Run Christmas in July will feature a donation drive, a raffle fundraiser and live outdoor music. New, unwrapped toys, for children of all ages are requested for donation. Monetary donations will be accepted during the event; checks may be made out to ‘The Albany Toy Run’. Community members are welcome to drop off donations at Deluxe Brewing during open business hours, July 6th – 12th, 2024. The taproom is open Monday through Friday, 3 – 9 p.m., Saturday 12 – 9 p.m., and Sunday 12 – 8 p.m.

The Albany Toy Run’s Christmas in July event will showcase outdoor live music from 4 – 9 p.m.. Blood on the Plow, a mid-Willamette Valley acoustic band, will open the event, featuring John Cougar Mellencamp tributes and a variety of other popular tunes until 6 p.m. Salem, Oregon area band, Crush, will take the stage at 6 P.M., playing Classic Rock & Roll covers from the 60s through 80s. Customers are welcome to bring their own seating for the outdoor music, however patio chairs will be available from the brewery.

The Albany Toy Run was first hosted in 1983 and was started by The Association for Motorcyclists of Oregon. It is an annual event hosted by local motorcyclists to provide Christmas joy to the children of the Albany area through donated toys. Introduced in 2022, the Albany Toy Run’s Christmas in July event aims to sustain the festive generosity year-round and support the mission of providing a brighter Christmas for local children and their families. Kittens & Cocktails @ Deluxe Brewing & Sinister Distilling

Join the Deluxe Brewing taproom on Saturday, July 13 from 1-3 PM for a fundraising and kitten adoption event co-hosted by SafeHaven Humane Society!

The SafeHaven staff and a litter of ready-to-adopt kittens will be available for a meet and greet during this event. Staff will have additional information about ways to adopt, foster, and volunteer with their office. They will also be present at the event to showcase adoptable kitties for those who are ready to take home their next furry friend.

During the event, donation items will be accepted for SafeHaven and happy hour discounts will be available to those who participate by bringing a donation! (See link below for items Safe Haven needs). Deluxe Brewing has also committed to donating $1 per pint or cocktail purchased during the event towards SafeHaven and the animals that they care for. There will also be a raffle prize awarded with Deluxe Brewing and Sinister Distilling merchandise to one lucky attendee.

As always, the Deluxe Brewing taproom is a pet-friendly business. Due to the presence of young animals and those who have yet to be conditioned among other pets, we ask that our customers pay particular attention to the following: Well-behaved, people- and pet-friendly animals are welcome. Dogs must be fully vaccinated, registered, and on a leash at all times (no retractable leashes, please).
If you have any questions about bringing your own pets to this event, we ask that you choose to leave your pets at home to keep from overwhelming those who are looking to be adopted on site.
