Get ready for some awesome summer fun! On June 22nd, the Albany Summer Passport program will kick off at 2 different sign-up locations!

  1. Visit the Pride Parade: Swing by the Albany Visitors Association booth at the Albany Pride Event between 10 am and 4 pm,  where you can sign up, get your picture taken, and pick up your free passport! We hope to see you there!
    2.  Head to the Albany Visitors Association:  Sign up at the Albany Visitors Association at 122 Ferry St, in downtown Albany from 10 am to 1 pm. We will be ready and waiting to help you sign up and get your passport!

Both places will be filled with fun and excitement, perfect for kicking off your summer adventures with our Summer Passport! Check out our website for more details as we get closer to the big day.

Passports will be available for sign-up throughout the summer, June 22nd, 2024 is the kickoff date for the program. The last day of the program is August 9, one week before the Carousel Carnival. So, no matter if you live here, or are just visiting for a few days – you’re invited to participate. You may come to the AVA Office at any time and pick up a Passport and explore as much as you can during your visit to Albany.

Join the Albany Carousel for a sensory-friendly ride!

To provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory sensitivities and their families, we will slow the carousel down to a jog and turn off the organ music.

It’s our hope to provide a fun and inviting space for everyone. So put on your blue and join us!

Grab your friends and family and head over to Timber Linn Park for the annual ALL YOU CAN EAT Lumberjack Breakfast hosted by the East Albany Lions Club. This event has been running for 50+ years and benefits the local community. Breakfast will be served every morning over Independence Day Weekend.

$10 for adults and $5 for children 11 and under. All proceeds go to Lions Sight & Hearing, local charities, and community projects.

River Rhythms 2024: Lee Greenwood and Fireworks @ Monteith Riverpark

River Rhythms returns to Monteith Riverpark this year. The concert series kicks off at 7 pm Thursday, July 4 with Lee Greenwood and fireworks (weather permitting). Live music continues every Thursday night (except July 18)  through August 8. Here’s the whole lineup:

July 11 – Super Diamond
July 18 – No Concert
July 25 – Tower of Power
August 1 – Thompson Square
August 8 – Girl Named Tom

Participating businesses often stay open later, many offering special sales, events, live music, and more.
