Welcome to AVA’s monthly calendar of events. Take a peek and plan your stay-cation or your next visit to our region. The city’s most notable annual events include historic home tours, outdoor summer concerts and movies under the stars, and the Northwest Art and Air Festival.

The Vintage Roost is a seasonal gift shop nestled in the scenic hills of the beautiful North Albany countryside. Springtime at the Roost is a spring show featuring indoor and outdoor garden decor, delicious baked goods, and a shop full of antiques and collectibles. 30 local crafters have contributed to the beautiful and unique gifts available for purchase.
The show is open Fridays and Saturdays only, May 3 – May 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information visit the Vintage Roost Facebook page.
PARKING: Passengers may be dropped off at the front doors of the shop by driving through the circular driveway. While there is no parking available in the driveway, parking is available on Scenic Drive.
All credit cards are accepted as well as cash and checks.
If you’re visiting from out of town and are attending the Wine Walk AND are a fan of Mrs. Roper – this event is for you.
This is the first appearance of the Mrs. Ropers of Oregon in Historic Downtown Albany.
This will be a rolling stop event; if you’re working late, or have plans to meet your friends.. no worries – join up and leave as you please. Wear your brightest caftan and orange curly wig if you want!
3:30pm—Albany Carousel for a ride, photo, and then walk together to get wine glasses and tickets.
4:00pm—Corner of 1st Ave. & Ferry, pick up wine glasses, tickets and maps.
5:15ish—Back to the Corner of 1st Ave. & Ferry to meet up with more Helens and pick up tickets if needed.
Everyone over 21 is welcome to join!
First Friday- Preserving your Family Photos
Albany Regional Museum is kicking off National Historic Preservation Month with a special event that will take place from 4:30 pm- 7:00 pm where you will learn from our very own Collections & Exhibits Manager, Amy Bozorth! Amy will teach you how to preserve your family photos using the Museum’s scanners!
You can even help to contribute to the Museum’s digital photo collection to help preserve Albany’s memories for generations to come. Please see below for how to participate:
Bring in no more than 10 photos that are 8”x10” or smaller. The photos must be loose photos to fit in our scanners.
Bring in a USB or portable hard drive to save your digital copies to, we cannot send your photos to you.
If your photo is related to Albany, it can be added to our digital collection with your permission!

Join the Albany Arts Commission (AAC) as they participate in Historic Downtown Albany’s First Friday event, May 3, 2024.
They will host a community art show featuring works by over 20 artists for the entire month of May.
Members of the AAC will host a First Friday reception for the Community Show artists at the Albany City Hall, 333 Broadalbin St SW, on Friday May 3rd from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
This event is free and open to the public. Come meet your AAC active artist members, enjoy refreshments, view the variety of their work, and learn more about AAC’s mission and goals to support the arts in our community.
The AAC has raised public funds to support ongoing artist receptions for First Friday downtown for the rest of 2024.
Every First Friday, you can meet the artists whose artwork will be displayed this month at Gallery Calapooia at their Artist Reception. Refreshments will be served.
