Celebrate the Cumberland’s 132nd birthday! Join the Community Events Center and enjoy tours, cake, and the history of this wonderful building, which is being renovated and will be home to the Cumberland Community Events Center. This event is part of Albany’s celebration of National History Preservation Month.
History of the Cumberland
The Cumberland Church building has been a part of Albany for 130 years. The church was built in 1892 by the Cumberland Presbyterians, a progressive branch of the Presbyterian Church. When it was dedicated on May 5, 1892, it was a rectangular, one-room meeting-style church. The building was moved to its new home on the corner of Santiam and Pine on October 17, 2021. The new address is 1400 Santiam Road SE. Once the restoration is complete, Cumberland will offer educational and enrichment programs for children and families, and provide a facility for the arts, education, recreation, celebration, and locally-based activities. The Vintage Roost is a seasonal gift shop nestled in the scenic hills of the beautiful North Albany countryside. Springtime at the Roost is a spring show featuring indoor and outdoor garden decor, delicious baked goods, and a shop full of antiques and collectibles. 30 local crafters have contributed to the beautiful and unique gifts available for purchase.
The show is open Fridays and Saturdays only, May 3 – May 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information visit the Vintage Roost Facebook page.
PARKING: Passengers may be dropped off at the front doors of the shop by driving through the circular driveway. While there is no parking available in the driveway, parking is available on Scenic Drive.
All credit cards are accepted as well as cash and checks.

Join the Albany Carousel for a sensory-friendly ride!
To provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory sensitivities and their families, we will slow the carousel down to a jog and turn off the organ music.
It’s our hope to provide a fun and inviting space for everyone. So put on your blue and join us!
