Join Iron Water Ranch for a fibery fun day with lambs to pet, fleeces to touch, and classes to take!
There will be a whole variety of raw fleeces available, natural and dyed yarns, washed locks, dryer balls, and fiber arts equipment and supplies!
2 Classes Available: Shepherding 101 for newer shepherds is from 12 pm to 2 pm, and a beginning Crochet Class from 1 pm – 3 pm. To purchase tickets for these classes and for additional information visit Iron Water Ranch.

Artist Director, Lance Inouye, and The Willamette Valley Symphony (WVS) are delighted to announce their upcoming concert, “Nostrovia! A Toast to Russian Classics,” scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 6th at Albany Performing Arts Center at West Albany High School and on Sunday, April 7th at Ashbrook Private School at 4 pm. Lance will be giving be a pre-concert lecture 45 minutes before concert.
The concert will feature piano soloist, Susan DeWitt Smith, who will be performing Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto no. 2. Other pieces performed by the orchestra will be Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no. 4 in F, Op. 36. and Melody by Ukrainian Composer, Myroslav Skoryk. Susan DeWitt smith has performed as a soloist with the Oregon Symphony and Portland Columbia Symphony, as well as on subscription series with San Diego Symphony, San Diego Chamber Orchestra, Palomar Symphony, Dartmouth Symphony, and others. She is highly regarded as a chamber musician and has collaborated with some of the finest musicians in the Northwest, including members of the Julliard, Kronos and Philadelphia String quartets. She teaches at Lewis & Clark College as an Associate Professor of Music, Director of Piano, and Theory Coordinator.

Tickets are available for purchase online at www.willamettevalleysymphony.org/buy-tickets or at the door on the day of the event. Willamette Valley Symphony tickets are free for youth (17 & under), $20 for adults, and $18 for seniors (65+). WVS has a “Youth Passport Program” which offers one adult accompanying a youth (17 and under) can receive a free ticket at the door. Additionally, WVS has an “Arts for All Program” where adults with an Oregon Trail SNAP card can receive a $5 ticket at the door. Youth Passport and Arts for All tickets must be obtained at the door.
May is dedicated to National Preservation Month. Also known as Historic Preservation Month, the month celebrates the nation’s heritage through historic places.
Albany is home to four national historic districts and the location of the most varied collection of architectural styles in the state. There are more than 800 historic buildings in three of the districts, dating from the 1840s to the 1950s, and all located within an area of approximately 100 square blocks.
Come and celebrate the heritage of Albany by participating in various events and exploring historic places all month long.
Events will include the Annual Tweed Ride, Walking History Tours, Building Tours, Vintage Bicycle Show, the Hidden History Scavenger Hunt, and more!

Trails Through Time is the theme of National Preservation Month in Benton County.
Many events are available to participate in and learn the history of the area.

This event schedule is a collaboration between the Benton County and Corvallis Historic Resources Commissions, the Albany Heritage Commission, and PreservationWORKS.

You won’t want to miss the 45th Annual łatwa ina Pow-Wow! May 18, in Gill Coliseum. Grand entry is at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Doors open at noon. OSU’s Native American Student Association and university partners present this FREE community event, which features Indigenous dancers, singers, and a marketplace, plus affordable fry bread.
