Samaritan Health Services will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by an open house and refreshments, on Friday, Oct. 27, from 12:30 to 6 p.m., for the new Sweet Home Medical Center, located at 1289 49th Ave. in Sweet Home. The event is open to the public. Remarks from Samaritan Health Services’ leadership will begin shortly after 12:30 p.m. A ribbon cutting, tours and refreshments will immediately follow. The completion of this facility exemplifies the commitment of so many to building a healthier community together. The 17,500-square-foot building focuses on improving access to health care with clinics offering family medicine, walk-in care and medication management as well as a retail pharmacy with a drive-up window and a helipad. SHOCASE GALA – The Golden Age of Music

A raffle will be held benefiting Family Tree Relief Nursery, our local nonprofit supporting children and their families to create a stronger healthier community.
Admission is $5 and kids 13 and under are free. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door on the days of the event. Cash is preferred, but cards are accepted.
Thai Express and N’Reeners New York Style Sandwiches will be available both days.
Open Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm
This year: on Sunday morning only from 9:30 am-9:50 am the public is invited to our outdoor drumming circle where we set the intention for the day, honor our loved ones, and drum/rattle together. Feel free to bring a rattle or drum and join in or just watch. It’s a powerful event! Held outside the Santiam building near our entrance.

May is dedicated to National Preservation Month. Also known as Historic Preservation Month, the month celebrates the nation’s heritage through historic places.
Albany is home to four national historic districts and the location of the most varied collection of architectural styles in the state. There are more than 800 historic buildings in three of the districts, dating from the 1840s to the 1950s, and all located within an area of approximately 100 square blocks.
Come and celebrate the heritage of Albany by participating in various events and exploring historic places all month long.
Events will include the Annual Tweed Ride, Walking History Tours, Building Tours, Vintage Bicycle Show, the Hidden History Scavenger Hunt, and more!

Trails Through Time is the theme of National Preservation Month in Benton County.
Many events are available to participate in and learn the history of the area.

This event schedule is a collaboration between the Benton County and Corvallis Historic Resources Commissions, the Albany Heritage Commission, and PreservationWORKS.
Don your finest tweed attire and join us for a bicycle tour of Albany’s National Historic Districts!
This event starts at The Natty Dresser, 124 Broadalbin St SW.
Arrive by 9:30 am to enter the costume and best bike contests. The ride starts at 10 am. The tour will stop occasionally to talk about menswear and the historic buildings and sights along the way. Bring a cup if it looks like it is going to be a warm day as there will be a water break along the way.
The ride ends at the Deluxe Brewery where they will be hosting their annual Vintage Bicycle Show and Swap Meet.
Food and drink will be available for purchase at the brewery, but riders are also welcome to bring a picnic lunch to the ride, as the brewery allows outside food.
