SAVE the DATE for this fun event! Celebrate the Christmas season the way the pioneers would have done in the 1800s by joining the festivities at the Monteith House. Children ages 5-16 are invited to join the Monteith Historical Society for a Christmas party. Children will make pioneer Christmas crafts, decorate the Christmas tree at the Monteith House, sing carols, eat Christmas cookies, and have the option to ride on the horse-drawn wagon in the “Twice Around Downtown Christmas Parade” at 5 p.m. Tickets are required and sell out fast – check the Monteith House website for ticket sales information.

Join the Albany Carousel for a sensory-friendly ride!
To provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory sensitivities and their families, we will slow the carousel down to a jog and turn off the organ music.
It’s our hope to provide a fun and inviting space for everyone. So put on your blue and join us!

Join the Valley’s own symphonic orchestra to hear romantic and familiar music including West Side Story Overture, Romeo and Juliet Overture, and the glorious Beethoven’s 5th Symphony. This would be a great concert to take children to, as the music is melodic and recognizable. There will be a pre-concert talk from our guest conductor at 6:15 p.m. It is a great way to learn more about the program. Tickets are $20/$18 and those under age 18 are free. For tickets and information visit Willamette Valley Symphony
