Philomath’s Marys River Grange presents Harvest fest, featuring; scarves, handmade books, knitted items, art, lotions, woodcarving, stepping stones, craft jewelry and even painted gourds — just to name a few. The event will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Marys River Grange Hall.
Admission to Harvest Fest is free.
Sunbow Farms will return this year with produce items. Nick’s: Soul Food, which offers authentic Southern soul food, plans to bring out its food truck.
They will have the cider press going so people can buy jugs of cider.
GreenGable Farm, which is situated next door, will have its corn maze open to provide another activity for festivalgoers. There is a charge to enter GreenGable’s corn maze.
More than 25 artists will display their work in and around Philomath during the Philomath Open Studios Tour on the weekends of Oct. 21-22 and Oct. 28-29.
The free self-guided tour, which runs from noon-5 p.m., will be held in 11 locations — many of which are the artists’ own studios.
The tour showcases a broad array of art, including paintings, printmaking, ceramics, glass work, mosaics, beadwork, pencil drawings, photography, mixed media and more.

Holiday Open Art Studio. Art Sale – Holiday Gifts. Visit the Misner Family Century Farm and Therese Misner’s Art studio for art and gifts.
The Misner Family and artist, Therese Misner, open their Century Farm for a festive day of art, gifts, and relaxing on the farm. Visit an artist working studio, home gallery, and tour the Misner Century Farm.
Deluxe Brewing and Sinister Distilling will host the Albany Toy Run on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the brewery located at 635 NE Water Ave. All motorcycle riders, classic car drivers and passengers are encouraged to participate in this fun event. New, unwrapped toys, for children of all ages are needed for donation. Community members are welcome to drop off donations with brewery staff during open business hours this week. The Deluxe Brewing taproom is open Monday through Friday, 3 – 9 pm, Saturday 12 – 9 pm, and this Sunday 11 am – 8 pm.
The Albany Toy Run parade will begin at 11 a.m., starting at the Walmart Supercenter
parking lot, at 1330 Goldfish Farm Rd SE, Albany, Ore. Motorcycle riders will be joined by
Santa Claus, riding on an Albany Fire Department truck, who will escort their donations
from Walmart to Deluxe Brewing where they will unload all of the donated toys and
enjoy a festive reception. Riders will depart Walmart at 11 a.m. exactly.
Between 1 and 4 p.m., children and their families are invited to visit Deluxe Brewing,
where they will have the opportunity to meet Santa and his elves who will help the
children choose a gift for Christmas. If you have a child or children with special needs
who are not able to attend the party, please contact Beth Walker at 541-730-1042.
The Albany Toy Run was first hosted in 1983 and was started by The Association for
Motorcyclists of Oregon. It is an annual event hosted by local motorcyclists to provide
Christmas joy to the children of the Albany area through donated toys. Throughout the
past 40 years, this event has been carried on by members who wanted to ensure that it
continues helping local children and their family’s have a better Christmas.
Admission to the event is free, and minors are welcome in Deluxe Brewing. The Deluxe
Food Cart will be open on Sunday, serving a limited menu from 12 – 2 pm to
