Welcome to AVA’s monthly calendar of events. Take a peek and plan your stay-cation or your next visit to our region. The city’s most notable annual events include historic home tours, outdoor summer concerts and movies under the stars, and the Northwest Art and Air Festival.

Displays by skillful artisans and devoted hobbyists. Demonstrations by lapidary artists, such as cabochon creation, wire wrapping, flint knapping, and geode preparation. Vendors will offer a wide variety of gems, minerals, fossils and slabs. Activities for adults include raffles and door prizes. Adults – .50, Children 12 and under free with an adult. The show continues on Sunday, April 2.

Join the Albany Carousel for a sensory-friendly ride!
To provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory sensitivities and their families, we will slow the carousel down to a jog and turn off the organ music.
It’s our hope to provide a fun and inviting space for everyone. So put on your blue and join us!

The Chintimini Kennel Club Shows are three days of all breed conformation, obedience and rally. The show is open to the public and will be held indoors and unbenched. Parking fee is $5/day. Please don’t bring dogs that are not entered in the show.

Hop around Albany (in your car) and collect something fun at different parks throughout the city. The fee is $5.00 per child and registration is required – visit the Albany Parks & Recreation WEBSITE
Verbatim Church is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt inside the Heritage Mall on Saturday, April 8 starting at 10 am. The egg hunt will take place on the West side of the Mall in front of Hobby Lobby. They will be running age groups at different times to ensure safety and to make sure that all kids have a chance to get some eggs. Times for age groups will be: 0-2 Years at 10 am, 3-5 Years at 10:30 am, 6-8 Years at 11:00 am, and 9-12 Years at 11:30 am. They will also be raffling off a prizes.
