The Albany Regional Museum is holding two walking tours, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. For a short time in its history, Albany was called Takenah. The tours, narrated by Bill Maddy, will focus on the people, places and politics of the Hackleman District, their role in the name change, and in the overall history of Albany. The tour will be on city sidewalks and not always wheelchair friendly, Covid regulations for safe distancing will be required. Space is limited and registration is required by calling the museum at 541-967-7122. Fee for the tour is $5 per party (maximum six persons per party). Registration deadline is May 3. Enjoy more than 75 vintage bicycles from 1 to 5 p.m. at this annual event, sponsored by the Deluxe Brewing Company, 635 Water Ave NE. Admission is free and socially distancing rules will apply. Most of the bike show will be outside. Enter your vintage bike or have fun seeing someone else’s while you enjoy great beer and cool vendors! The walking tour will be narrated by members of Friends of Historic Albany and focus on the history of the riverfront from industrial center to recreation and open space and how it was influenced by transportation, from a ferry and riverboats to railroads and trucks.
The tour will be outdoors on public sidewalks and parking lots with uneven surfaces. Unfortunately, the tour is not wheelchair-friendly. COVID regulations will be followed including 6-foot distancing between parties and masks are required. Allow 90 minutes for the event. Starting at Monteith Riverpark (meet at the gazebo), 489 Water Ave. NW.

Join Tribal Fusion Belly Dance in the glorious open garden spread of Midway Farms! Plenty of room for social distancing, and a beautiful space to dance and connect with your inner goddess. All levels welcome. Antigone, belly dance and yoga instructor, will guide us through our evening. Bring a yoga mat to sit on for our closing stretching and meditation time.
