In May of 1923 the Jefferson Women’s Club appointed a committee to find a suitable place to house a public library. The first library was opened on July 10, 1923, in the Smith and Fontaine General Merchandise Store with club members serving as volunteer librarians.
Join the Jefferson Public Library for their Centennial Open House on Aug. 1 from 10am – 7pm. They’re celebrating the library’s past, present, and future with games, food & fun!

Join the Albany String Orchestra for their Spring Concert!
Pieces featured are: Vivaldi; Concerto for Four Violins in b minor,
Warlock; Capriol Suite and Jenkins; “Diamond Music” from Palladio.
The concert will be held at Albany First Christian Church on Saturday, May 11th at 3:00 PM.
Free admission and open to all.
Cheers, and a big thank you to the most important woman in everyone’s life! Come down and enjoy free carousel rides all day. There’s also a free carnation for the first 100 moms to walk through the door!

You are invited to attend a dedication ceremony of the Gold Star Family Memorial which will be placed in the Linn County Veterans Memorial in Timber Linn Memorial Park in Albany.
Come and show your support for the Gold Star Families who have lost loved ones.
All are welcome.
The event will be held on Memorial Day, May 27th at 11:00 AM.
