Come celebrate the 85th year of what organizers say is the longest-running sheepdog trial in the country on May 19 through 21. The NW Champion Sheepdog Trial is held in conjunction with the Linn County Lamb and Wool Fair, which is celebrating its 88th year.

The sheepdog trials will take place at Wolston Farm, 39562 Highway 226 off of Franklin Butte Road beginning at 8am and last until all dogs have run.

It’ll be family fun for all at the Official Fireworks of Salem, with a carnival, food and beverage, and a concert by Alabama, wrapping up with a FREE 20-minute fireworks show that will light up the sky above the Oregon State Fairgrounds!

Tickets are on sale now!
Alabama concert tickets include access to the VIP Party Zone. Carnival tickets will be sold onsite at the event.

Visit Salem for the free Englewood Forest Festival in beautiful Englewood Park for a day of art, music, dance, environmental education, wonder, and discovery!

Englewood Park is about one mile west of I-5 exit 256 at Market St. The park is adjacent to Englewood Elementary, located between D St. and Market Streets NE.

Street parking is available in the neighborhood. Additional parking is available at the Evergreen Church, 1110 17th St. NE and at the Salem First Church of the Nazarene’s parking lot east of 16th St NE.

ADA parking for visitors with ADA placards is adjacent to the park behind Englewood School. Enter on Nebraska St. NE and 20th St. NE.

The Hallie Ford Museum of Art (HFMA) at Willamette University proudly announces its 25th anniversary celebration. Whether you are an art enthusiast, a student, a scholar, a visitor, or a member of the community, there is something for everyone at the museum. Enjoy free admission during October and come and explore the exhibitions, attend the events and programs, and be part of the museum’s journey as it continues to inspire, educate, and engage.

Anniversary festivities will kick off on September 19 with the opening of “The Hallie Ford Museum of Art at 25: Highlights from the Permanent Collection” exhibition. The director, curators, outside scholars, and others joined forces to curate a visual journey that reveals the museum’s many hidden treasures, including items that will be on view for the first time.

Meet Oregon’s new local food and beverage innovators at the Oregon Angel Food Marketplace at the Chemeketa Community College Agriculture Hub in Salem, Oregon on Saturday, September 23rd from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Hosted by Oregon Entrepreneur Network, in partnership with SEDCOR and Xcelerate Women.

Make a day of it to sample, sip and buy from craft food and beverage entrepreneurs from around the Pacific Northwest.

It’s FREE to attend. There are also a number of $75 Taster’s Tickets, which includes a curated bag of samples to take home and two drink tickets.

Adventure Length: The immersive Journey to Atlantis adventure is about 30 minutes. But this year we’ve added several activities for kids to turn your adventure into several hours!

Guests are encouraged to come in Halloween costumes and really get into the adventure.
